wildfeet

Wildfeet workshop fosters connections with nature, the environment, sustainabillity and the body-mind. I provide a safe space to re-connect with yourself, with each other, and with the surrounding environment.

I offer simple practices from my wildfeet toolkit to enhance presence, mindfulness and imagination. We will playfully and seriously explore walking and writing, including different ways of paying attention, including my particular approach to ‘walking with a question.’ Music, poetry, creative exploration, experienced together outdoors. Take on a bit of wonder and magic… Come and join us!

As a facilitator, I create safe spaces for people to explore, nourish and be valued for who they are and what they bring. I aim to give a balance of lively investigation and ongoing sustenance for participants. My leadership is often described as gentle and strong with a clarity of expression and flexibility to intuitively respond and change direction when necessary. I have spent much of my training and artistic practice honing an embodied sensitivity to relationships between place, time, materials and processes. This relates to elements of shamanic practice, ritual and healing.

About wildfeet

wildfeet began as a set of methods of training performers and creating performances, then organically evolved into a way to inspire and nourish individuals to feel more connected to their environment and a sense of community. The exercises I use are, in part, taken from BodyWeather. I am also influenced by training with Goat Island Performance Company and Kneehigh Theatre.

wildfeet gives participants a toolkit to explore and expand their perceptual and imaginative responses to the body and the environment, through walking, movement, observation and writing.  Workshops are experiential and embodied as well as an ‘imagination training’. They playfully and seriously explore the perceptual worlds of our non-human companions in order to have a greater understanding of the wider eco-system.  Feedback, reflection and sharing  observations are incorporated, allowing everyone a space to participate and be heard.

I have recently been exploring the idea of the Creative Camino by incorporating elements of wildfeet, poetry and song along pilgrimage routes in Wales and Ireland (with support from Ancient Connections and Waterford Camino Tours).
