through Ailsa‘s direction we were all enabled to create unexpected connections to nature .. these are things I’ll carry with me on future walks through our beautiful landscape (Love Stories to Nature participant)
All days run from 11am – 5 pm
These will be for small groups and take place in Moylegrove, North Pembrokeshire where we have access to studio, fields, woodland valley and coast – for a maximum of 7 people.
This series will be part nature experience, part creative workshop and part retreat/personal development. I will interweave these approaches in response to the emerging process and group.
Wildfeet workshops foster connections with nature, the environment, sustainabillity and the body-mind. In each of the 5 days we will walk through varied landscapes coming into dialogue with nature as partner, collaborator and teacher.
Ailsa’s ease-full way of inviting us along on a much more grounded and yet revealing experience of nature in shared fellowship with other souls was profound … all deepened by sweet moments of reflection with our fellow walkers. I was particularly moved by the invitation to imagine what nature might have to say about me, how I am and my life. What wisdom nature has to draw on. It was quite humbling and beautiful. (Creative Pilgrimage participant)
I offer simple practices from my wildfeet toolkit to enhance presence, mindfulness and imagination and I provide a safe space to re-connect with yourself, with each other, and with the surrounding environment. Many of us are affected by much dis-ease in our society that can fuel anxiety and overdrive – embodied presence in nature, deep listening and a supportive group can help us stay grounded and steady in the face of challenges.
We will playfully and seriously explore body warm ups, walking and writing, different ways of paying attention to body and nature and allow these to take on a bit of wonder and magic. We will spend at least half the day outdoors.

Next in the series of spring wildfeet days is
SOUNDING AND LISTENING – a VOCAL wildfeet workshop
We will work indoors and outside along a short route from river to sea.
How do we listen to and witness the qualities of plant, animal, mineral, water, air? How can we interpret these with sound and rhythm, not to mimic them but find another language and song that echoes them. Expanding our embodied awareness and experimenting with different qualities of sound and rhythm enables us to explore this.
I will be sharing practices from Yoga, BodyWeather and Movement Medicine and the workshop will be informed by my experience as performer, theatre maker and musician.
Solo vocal sharing will not be compulsory but curiosity will.
No prior experience necessary – and experienced vocalisers are welcome.
Please be in touch if you have any questions, or to book, by e mail or whatsapp/phone on 07792 834882 and do share the info and flyer with others who may want to join.
Practicals
There is a sliding scale but £55 is a recommended median contribution for a 6 hour workshop. Please enquire honestly into what you can afford between £35 and £75. And talk to me if you are short of funds. Thank you!

Why work with me?
I have spent much of my training and artistic practice honing an embodied sensitivity to relationships between people, place, time, materials and processes. This also relates to elements of shamanic practice, ritual and healing.
I am an experienced workshop leader and have run workshops in higher education, on pilgrimages, with museums and art galleries, in hospitals and community arts projects. I draw on specialised training as an artist/performer, in community & personal development, group work and as a teacher and facilitator of Movement Medicine.
The Whole Series:
Saturday 1st March : taster – including aspects of all the following four wildfeet days
Friday 21st March : time.. speed ..reflection – the pace of change
Most of us inhabit time and speed in ways that are ingrained and unconscious, whether at play, home or work. These can be limiting or even damaging. We will explore other ways of experiencing pace in the body-mind, allowing time for reflection – a kind of time travel. Natural processes of growth are a great teacher.
Saturday 3rd May : listening .. sounding
Exploring a deeper listening and creating sound in response to the surrounding environment (you will have space to explore this in the way that feels comfortable for you – either alone, outdoors or in the group).
Friday 30th May : beyond five senses
Going beyond our usual range of sensation into qualities we may not habitually notice / qualities of the body and environment like weight, density, temperature, pro-prioception
Saturday 28th June : tuning in .. becoming
Observing and imagining the perceptual worlds of other-than-human species and materials (rock, soil, water etc.)
thinking as animal .. body as mineral, as fungi .. moving as a fox would as a plant might
